be glad its not asking something like the width, ignore that its a cuboid and do the pythagoras theorem like you would if it were a normal rectangle, half it then do it and add it up in the end, see what answer you come out with, i may be completely wrong though, i vaguly remember maths lol

yeah, the value of X has to be the same and when you add 8 you get the width and so on and so forth so im not too sure i would think that if it can hold a pole length of 13 metres placed on the longest diagonal wouldn't the length of the cuboid be less than the pole?

i just realised, its a cuboid so using the pythagoras can get tricky, using them on triangles are far easier, did you half it first diagonally then do the pythagoras theorem then somehow get the answers then add the two lengths up to get the whole length at the end .. hope that makes sense lol :s
