the open university is a distant learning university where they provide you with books and resources and you can study from home. i dont think they have exams either

dernier refers to the thickness of the tights. the numbers usually go up in 20's and the higher the number, the thicker the tights. so if the dernier is 120, they would probably be opaque- just like leggings but if the dernier is about 20-40, you would be able to see your legs through them. 60-80 are likely to be semi-opaque hope that helps!

There are some parts of the new software that I really like such as notification centre but some of the other stuff has disappointed me a lot like iMessage. I expected it to be better. Anyone else feel the same or is it just me?

The stuff I like: - notification centre- I never miss a thing and I can decide what notifications I want to view in it. - you can delete songs straight from your iPhone- this should've been available a long time ago, but better late than never eh? - reminders- especially location based reminders. I never forget to do anything my mum tells me to do anymore! Lol - iMessaging- I already have free text messages but it's good for communicating abroad - the new look of the notifications when they appear on your locked screen- it looks more sophisticated now - camera- you can take pictures from your locked screen instead of getting into the long process of unlocking your phone for a Kodak moment! Also, if you take a picture while your phone is locked and then view it in your camera roll, it'll only show you the pictures you have taken rather than all the pictures from your camera roll- because your phone is locked. I really like that feature! - private browsing on safari- you don't have to go into your history and delete everything just because you searched someone's birthday present - you can change the font in notes- it doesn't really make much of a difference to me but it's nice to have the option. I think it's good for older people since the default font looks a bit childish. - iCloud- you can wirelessly backup data from your iPhone. It's good if you have a few Apple devices such as an iPad as well as a laptop since you can take a picture with your iphone and instantly view it on all your other devices. You don't have to really worry about losing your stuff if your harddrive decides to die on you as well - Twitter- you can now tweet pictures straight from your iPhone without going into the Twitter app. I haven't used it yet but it's nice to have the option - pictures- you can edit them straight from your iPhone and don't have to use a third party app. The stuff I don't like: - iMessaging- although its good for international texting n sending free videos/pictures, it'a not really as good as I thought it would be. I expected a separate app for it where you could at least see all the contacts who have iMessage (like whatsapp) - accessing camera from the lock screen- yes it's good that you can access the camera from the lock screen but you still have to double click the home button. That's still a bit inconvenient, considering Apple made it seem like the camera icon would always be there on the lock screen. But I guess I can live with it - videos- why the hell are they put into a separate app? It just takes up more space on my screen. And it's really silly because not all your videos go into that app! It's just the ones you buy from iTunes or import from your computer. - iCloud- yes it's good that you can wirelessly backup data to your laptop but since it's via the Internet, it means it's obviously slower than the traditional wire method and Apple gets access to all your files as well. It also has a limit on it of about 6GB I think (correct me if I'm wrong) so you can't really backup every single thing if you have a 16GB iPhone. Overall, I think it's a decent update but the ads made it seem like it would be 100x better, which has led to disappointment in some.
