I think it's the woman's choice. It is HER body, and nobody should judge her for what she chooses to do. If she doesn't want the baby then she shouldn't have to go through 9 months of uncomfort and then push out a baby she's just going to either give away or regret. Protesters think they're making a difference by wasting their time telling the world how against abortion they are, how it shouldn't be legal, how it's murder blahblahblah. But if abortion was illegal, women would be getting back alley abortions all the time, just like the old days, and getting infections or even dying. I would rather have women be able to walk into an abortion clinic and have it done in a SAFE and CLEAN enviornment, than meet up with some stranger to possibly perforate her uterus. i don't see any of those protesters adopting the babies that are given up, so why should they have the right to tell a woman she'll be a murderer and that adoption should be her decision?

I'm sorry to hear about your cats lip problem and that it doesn't seem to be clearing up. I personally haven't experienced anything like this with my cats so can't really offer any advice with that, sorry. But, if you really do feel as if your vet isn't as good as you want them to be then I'd suggest going to another vet... even if it's just for a second opinion. I have had a problem with a pet before and didn't like one vets answer, so I went elsewhere for a second opinion and got told something completely different. Sometimes it pays to shop around, even with vets. Good luck and I hope you get the problem sorted asap.

Hi - I have looked into this as well and I hope I can offer some insight. I understand Karma a little differently to what you might think it means. Think of Karma like a wheel. It goes around. Or a chain made up of links. For example: You are driving along, but your not going fast enough for the person behind you. He's tailgating you and gesturing rudely. Then he swerves around you quickly, screaming abuse out his open window at you. That person has just handed you some bad Karma. What you do with it is the key to understanding Karma. Our natural instinct is to get really angry, upset and/or hurt by the situation - and in turn we very well may end up taking that frustration out on someone else, thereby handing the bad Karma along to the next person. We can become a 'link' in the chain of Karma, and it just keeps getting passed around. Equally, good Karma goes around. We walk down the street and someone steps out of our way, smiles and says 'hello'. Our spirits are lifted and we smile back. That would be good Karma being handed to us. The progression then is that we pass on the good Karma to someone else, and so on. Karma is more like unseen energy and we perpetrate it's existence by handing it around. I suppose you could say that the more people out there that are perpetrating good Karma the better the world will be for everyone. Good and bad Karma are not currency in some spiritual bank-account. They merely represent energy and how it travels by way of human contact. You asked why bad things happen to good people - I would have to say it is mostly down to chance. If you are in the wrong place at the wrong time bad could happen. Karma is not like an electronic tag you wear around - life is just a deck of wild cards. Sometimes it turns out for your fortune and sometimes it turns out bad fortune. Hope that answer's your question!

You should go on a mission trip. Those people will amaze you. Their strength encourages me to thrive because they don't have that opportunity and so many people take it for granted. Get more hobbies. Maybe you're bored. How can you be happy? Choose to be. You have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, food on your table, good health I assume, friends and family that care about you, a sucessful future (if you take college and getting good grades seriously)..... Tell me, what is there to be unhappy about?

Cooking the onion inactivates the enzyme, so while the smell of cooked onions may be strong, it doesn't burn your eyes. Aside from wearing safety goggles or running a fan, you can keep from crying by refrigerating your onion before cutting it (slows reactions and changes the chemistry inside the onion) or by cutting the onion under water.

After the First World War many people questioned the chaos and the insanity of it all. The world’s “universal truths” and trust in authority figures began to crumble, and Modernism was a response to the destruction of these beliefs. The modernist movement in fictional writing broke through in the U.S. with William Faulkner's The Sound and the Fury (1929), which had a mixture of raving and ranting reviews. If you've read it I'm sure you know why . . . super confusing but brilliant. Faulkner went on to influence future modernist works like Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour (1934), Zora Neale Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God (1937) and Hemmingway's For Whom the Bell Tolls (1940), to just name a few. It was more than a literary movement, though. Modernism can be seen in many types of artistic expression from the period 1928-1945 in America; but this write will address Modernism in writing, so, here’s a list of the characteristics: Modernism’s characteristics: *Bullet* Fragmentation – in plot, characters, theme, images, and overall storyline. Thus, for instance, many modernist works are not in the typical linear sequence. *Bullet* Loss is a huge theme in modernist works. *Bullet* The “truth” is questionable, as a common theme, and thus, you cannot always trust the narrator to tell the truth, whereas in traditional literature it is the narrator’s job to make the reader understand what’s going on. Also, there may be more than one narrator, showing the diversity of truth. *Bullet* The destruction of the family unit. *Bullet* Characters may be given little or no physical description, and one or more characters is usually an "outcast." *Bullet* Authority figures are often untrustworthy, reflecting the question of truth. *Bullet* Movement away from religion. *Bullet* The reversal of traditional roles (Example: women doing something typically “male” and/or vice versa. Or the changing of customary racial roles). *Bullet* Ambiguous ending; such works often leave a lot of questions with the reader; they don’t tie everything up for you. *Bullet* Often setting is more than just the setting (i.e. more meaning to it than just where the story takes place), or, maybe there is no setting at all. *Bullet* The use of improper grammar to reflect dialect. *Bullet* More sexuality and the use of intertextuality are often found. *Bullet* More use of the first person narrative, reflecting the lack of universal truth, i.e. there are only individual truths. As you can see, modernism is more complex than traditional writing, where there is usually one narrator (third person typically) whose job it is to “explain” everything to the reader. Background is just that, background. The writing is in chronological order and all loose ends are tied up for you in the end. Postmodernism came about around the end of WWII, though not actually studied as a form until the mid 1980s. The characteristics are the same as modernism except postmodernism is more playful or celebratory regarding the world's "insanity." The idea being, okay, the world is chaotic, there are no universal truths, lets see what we can do with that. Examples of postmodern works include: Anais Nin's Under a Glass Bell (1944), William Gass's In the Heart of the Heart of the Country (1968), and Toni Morrison's Beloved (1987). Both modernism and postmodernism may have all or some of the above characteristics; it isn’t required that all of the traits are used in order for a piece to be classified as modernist writing. The key characteristics are usually fragmentation, loss, distrust of authority, and the lack of universal truths.

Hey Arslan They're far more related than many sociologists and anthropologists are ready to acknowledge. Historically Social & Cultural Anthropology has dealt with so-called "traditional" (i.e. Non-Western) societies & cultures, development closely tied to Imperialism & encounters with "Others", whereas Sociology has with Western societies, origins associated to XIX theories of science and social control (e.g. Auguste Comte). It could be said Anthropology has focused more on experiential, relativistic, holistic community-based approaches, a sort of in-depth global analysis of a small population; and Sociology on recurrence,classification of traits in large societies frequently through quantitative analysis. Hence, Anthropology is usually considered a "Humanity" and Sociology a "Social Science". With the shift in Anthropology to encompass analysis of Western societies too, the previous differentiation started to blurry. At the same time, Sociology is far broader than quantitative approaches. Both disciplines share, swap & exchange theories, thinkers, methodology, etc. thus boundaries are far less well-shaped than what handbooks normally convey. E.g.: Bourdieu was an anthropologist by training who conducted excellent surveys and statistical research; Sociology pays attention to so-called "virtual Ethnography" and anthropologists such as Geertz; and postmodern theories in both are highly indebted to Derrida. The array of "new hybrid" disciplines such as Media, Gender, Cultural & Performance Studies, make differentiation far more complex and subtle. This is obviously highly simplified to avoid stomach cramps :)

is very important to have good education. Money is not every thing but it is almost every thing. A person cannot survive in this world without the money. So according to one statistics, a person with 4 years college education earns about $2 million more then the person with only High School education. .... see if you can come up with mor and list them on your own. Same is true of the difference between the earning of a person with Master's degree and a person with Ph.D. Looking at it further it is true that a Ph.D degree holder makes lot more money than a master degree holder. There are some exception but very few. So the chances are that a Ph.D will have batter life then a high school drop out. The person will have more prestige and the fact that the person spend more time studying will give that person more time to mature and will be batter suited to face the real world. does it help in the character formation of a person? Yes, in most instances. This is base on exposure the person has while in college and many other things but there is nothing more contributing item (factor) then the time itself. In time a person matures, so a person is protected and well sattled during this developemental period and has time to mature slowly without the many external pressures and acquire life experiences in a more protected academic environment. The person is batter prepared to face the world once the person has all round knowlege that is imparted by the proffesors/teachers and associates and had time to aquier some in time on his/her own.

found this on the internet mate have a read; The area of numbness you describe is that served by the first sacral dermatome. This all sounds a bit technical, so let me explain. The body can be divided up into different areas known as dermatomes. Each seperate dermatome is served by a different main nerve, each of which runs off the spinal cord at different levels. Your symptoms are in the first sacral dermatome (S1), which suggests that there may be some pressure on or damage to that nerve where it emerges from the spinal column to become part of the sciatic nerve. It is significant that you have had sciatic nerve problems on the right side before. As the area of numbness extends over only part of the foot, a vascular cause is very unlikely. It is a very reasonable course of action to wait for the symptoms to settle spontaneously, as they often will. However if they do persist, your GP may suggest some further investigations. Unfortunately, X-rays are frequently unhelpful because they only show bony changes. An MRI scan, which can also image tissues other than bone, is much more useful in identifying causes of pressure on the nerve. One thing that can cause this is a slipped disk, pushing on the nerve. There has been a huge change in the advice that we give patients with this condition. Whilst we used to advise rest, there is now good evidence that they heal and recover much more quickly and completely if the patient remains active. So unless you are doing a lot of heavy lifting at work remaining active is helpful.

It is a very common question, "How can I tell I'm in love?", but it is not an easy question to answer. What feels like love to one person may be nothing more than attraction to another. Some people fall in and out of love quickly and often while others are never really in love as much as they are in lust. This can get confusing when you are a teen because romantic love is a relatively new concept for you and you don't know what to expect. You are overwhelmed with all sorts of new feelings and social pressures. They are confusing. What is love? What makes you want a romantic relationship with one person and not another? How does your heart choose a partner? Why does love end? These questions can't be easily answered. One of the most confusing quasi-love feelings is lust. Lust is a very powerful, very intense feeling of physical attraction toward another person. Lust is mainly sexual in nature - the attraction is superficial based on instant chemistry rather than genuine caring. Usually we lust after people we do not know well, people we still feel comfortable fantasizing about. It is very common for people to confuse lust for love. But why? What is it about lust and love that make them so easy to mix up? If lust is all about sex, how can a relationship without sex be about lust? Teens struggle with this because they see lust in the Biblical sense, but lust isn't that sinister. Lust is about physical attraction and acting ONLY on physical attraction. Love is about much more than that. Yet many teens (and to be fair, many adults) confuse an intense attraction for some sort if divine love. For teens, since feelings of attraction are still new and since pop-culture sells sex and love as one package, it is very easy to get the two mixed up. Lust is clearly not love. Love is based on more than just physical attraction. Sure, attraction is a factor, but love goes deeper than that. Love is based on caring, friendship, commitment and trust. When you are in love it is as if you have your best most trusted friend at your side AND you feel physically attracted to them. It is the best of both worlds! Love is a shared feeling between two people who have a vested interest in one anothers happiness. Love is not about jealousy. It is not about conflict. It is not about testing. Love is a positive feeling. If it is tainted by mistrust, jealousy, insecurity or spitefulness it is not really love but merely a pale copy. Love is the total surrender of your heart to another person with the security of knowing they will treat it better than you will. Love should feel good. It should not feel bad. Love should make you want to be a better person, it should not lead you to do something self destructive. Love is not demanding of your spirit but lifts it and makes it glow. Love is a good thing. Anything less is lust, deep friendship or attraction. So the sappiness aside, the question remains, how can you tell you are in love? There is no easy way to find the truth behind your feelings or the feelings of another person but there are some tell-tale signs that love is blooming (or growing deeper). If you agree with 7 of the following 9 statements you are probably in love. You know, because you have been told by your significant other, that your deep feelings are returned in kind. The object of your affections makes you feel special and good about yourself. If/when you feel jealous it is always fleeting; you trust your partner not to betray you or hurt your relationship. Nothing makes you feel as serene as when you and your partner are together. When you fight with your partner you usually make up within a few hours and you always agree that nothing is more important than you both being able to express your true feelings (even if they sometimes cause conflict). Your partner never asks you to choose between him/her and your loyalties to your family and friends - if you do choose him/her over them you always have a good reason and it is always YOUR decision, and your decision alone. Neither you or your partner feel the need to test the other's loyalties or feelings. You are more yourself when with your partner than you are with anybody else. If sex is part of your relationship it is by mutual desire and agreement without the slightest hint of commitment testing or persuasion.

Only the junk food, I don't keep it entirely away from them as I don't want junk food to be too attractive but we do limit how much is available. Unlike when I was growing up, dessert is not a given and we have it some nights in a week but definitely not every night. Healthy food, they get what they want during acceptable times (snacks between breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner) as otherwise they graze all day long and don't really eat when we have a meal together.

In the long run, there won't be a lot of negative effect. Classes will be longer and some will be eliminated. Math and science will be accented over social studies and the arts, but students will still find creative outlets. The major impact on education is that public schools will become more like Wall Mart. There will be an economy education, as opposed to quality. Eventually this will be noted and funding will return to education.

Hi I have had the same problem in the past, I have to say that your hair gets used to be straightened with straighteners and this makes styling your hair a difficult thing when you stop, here are my top tips, 1, get your hair trimmed as soon as possible, if you cant afford it get a friend to take just a half centimetre off the bottom. 2,buy a good conditioner, henna treatment wax is inexpensive and works wonders on damaged hair, you can get it for about 99p in superdrug 3,Dry your hair on the medium setting of your hair dryer till your hair is almost dry, then brush through with a mild hair mousse with a good hairbrush 4, always dry down the hair ,this can be quite tricky but if you lift the dryer as high as you can and blow down the hair you will be amazed how straight this gets your hair 5, If you still feel that your hair just does not look done, I think the nicest thing to do is go for the boho look and take a small section of hair from the front and side and plait it , you can also put random plaits around and underneath your hair, this gives a fantastic natural look and it will be commented on. 6, For a more formal look or work, buy some kirby grips and practice putting your hair up, the more you do it the better it looks 7, And finally dont think you have to hang them straighteners up for good, if you give your hair a well earned rest and condition, there is no problem with straightening now and again Hope Iv helped!!!

You can help overcome the addiction by increasing your intake of water. Yes, I am aware it sounds cliche, and tooo many people blindly throw that out as an option, but as a former total caffeine addict, I can tell you how it works. The water helps to flush the caffeine from your system. If necessary, take some sort of pain killer (like ibuprofen or something like that) the first day you quit, if needed. The water will also take away some of your ability to drink soda, seeing as you can't drink soda when you're drinking water.

Very tasty food in Basaba Eathai at Westfield but don't like the concept of serving starter and main at the same time which results in eating cold food. Strong sense that you are required to eat, pay and go. Small thick glasses containing small amount of whatever you are drinking. Also, something that is nowadays so common but to someone of my age incredibly rude, the waiting staff pass food etc in front of the client instead of from the side.

good afternoon phil, its all due to the amount of accidents occuring this year in the UK I tried getting insurance for my son and the cheapest website I found was co-operative stay away from confused.com and those stupid price comparision websites, you need to go direct to the website and it would be even better to call them and bargain with them. my son turned 18, and I bought a toyota corolla 1.6 2001 plate made him 2nd driver and the co-operative insurance are charging me £1060 not bad at all, compared to the others who wanted over £1600+

1.To have abs, you need to get down to about 7% bodyfat. Calculate how many pounds fat 7% would be. For example if you weigh 100 pounds, you can only have 7 pounds of fat (100lbs X .07) if you want 6-pack abs. 2.Calculate the number of pounds bodyfat you currently have on your physique using my body composition calculator, and from step 1, calculate how many pounds fat you have to lose. For example if the calculator says you currently have 20 pounds of fat and from step 1 you know that you need to get down to 7 pounds of fat, you know you need to lose 13 pounds of fat. 3.Now see how long it will take to lose the required amount of fat. Use my weight loss calculator and use the maximum weight loss rate by selecting "20% Caloric Reduction" as the goal in step 6. After entering all your other information, the calculator will tell you how long it will take to lose your fat.
