Are reverts (non-muslims who accept Islam) better Muslims than those born and brought up as "Muslims"??

   Hello Nawalioo,
   I believe i havent seen you around here before so i would like to welcome you to the community.
   You have a lovely picture there and i am very interested in your questions you have put up so far, you seem like a very intelligent wise young lady and also if you ever have any sort of question to ask whatsoever, the wonderful yabyab community are here to help.
   Onto your question,
   I think you're quite correct,
   when someone is born into something its not done by choice and it just happens and so poeple who are muslim by name and at birth dont take it seriously nor do they feel like they need to abide by such rules set by islam.
   However when someone does so by choice they are doing it with their own free will and this gives them the motivation and the desire to abide by and live by the rules of islam as they have obviously chosen to take this path after much thought and realisation.
   Not all reverts are the same as some may 'fall off the wagon' so to speak but not all muslim born people are the same either but i do beleive in this theory to some extent as it makes logical sense.

   thats kinda true, i've seen poeple who call themselves muslim but they dont do anything that is acccording to islam, they drink smoke and all sorts which isnt islamic yet they say they're muslims. Poeple who become one through choice however realise they have a lot to learn and follow and they know what it takes to become one so they have all the more reason to.
   like tammy said, not all reverts are the same and not all muslim borns are the same. There are a lot of muslim borns who are very strict upon themselves and are religious as can be. x

   Yeah i totally agree, not all reverts are the same - I know a revert who accepted Islam just so that he could marry a muslim girl. the only thing he changed was his name, nothing else >_
