  2. no, genes will come from both sides although some childs look completly like 1 partner it doesn't mean they have all there genes.. xx

  3. No. Scientifically, it's not possible. It takes two people to make a child, therefore the genes come from both those people. If you inherited genes from just one person, you would look exactly like them, as your genetic makeup would be exactly the same.
    It could be that you look more like your mum and less like your dad, but that just means one of your parents genes are more dominant than the other, not that you've only inherited one side.

  4. No its impossible you Get half your chromosomes from your mother and the other coming from your father (haploid) this gives you full set of chromosomes(diploid) which basically controls your gene expression etc
