   It could be that they haven't had a chance to check their phone (unless of course they are updating their status from their phone) or are busy with other things at the time. Maybe they want to wait until they're completely free so they can give you their full attention. If you don't like waiting so much though, maybe tell them? Good luck :)

    Don't worry, I'm sure they are not ignoring you. It could just be that they are busy.
    Think about it, it takes a few minutes to update a facebook status but when you reply to a message, it means you need to carry on that conversation. It takes more time and effort to reply to a message than it does to update a facebook status. I'm sure they will reply back soon. Don't take it to heart! :)
