Tags: any know any good products to use on hair that makes it shiny and healthy as my hair is becumin weak n brittle!
Report abuseBest thing is to do it old style, start oiling your hair atleast twice a week, definatley condition for the spit ends and best oil is mustard mix with olive oil and i use it! gives the best result of shine and growth and health!
It may not be the same thing, but a short while ago, medication I was taking caused my hair to become dry and brittle, bt the woman who cuts it told me to try a coconut paste or serum - I tried the paste, and although it worked for me, it lef my hair greasy, but since I have been using a coconut conditioning serum (I think it's called, form Boots Chemist) it's a lot better, it's no longer dry and brittle, but also not greasy (just restored it to normal)
I admit I don't know much about hair (maybe it's a man thing lol) but it sounds similar and that solution worked for me, give it a try, if it doesn't work, it's not going to do any damage
There are actually a lot of things around your house that can add life to your hair and strengthen it. For starters, after shampooing, rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar. Leave it in for 3+ minutes, then rinse out with cool water. Do this
try to avoid blow drying your hair after you wash it and if you have split ends cut them off...lots of other people have been in this position including myself i died my hair a natural blonde and now it has stopped snapping off...good luck.
Restoration Tips for Frizzy Dry and Brittle Hair
Summer is approaching, time to wear short hairstyles and pay special attention to your hair care, because the sun and humidity is the worst enemy of your hair's cuticles, causing damage that results in split ends, dry hair, frizzy hair or brittle hair. In healthy conditions, hair’s moisture content is approximately 10%, but sunlight has the same damaging effect as a hot blow dryer on your hair.
Dry hair is typically the symptom of either environmental exposure or lack of adequate sebum (hair oil) production. Sebum is secreted from sebaceous glands associated with follicle pores. Overactive or underactive production can cause oily or dry scalp, respectively. Warm, humid weather often excites sebaceous glands and increases hair oil. Colder temperatures and low humidity slow sebum production; combined with increased wind and decreased humidity in offices or homes, hair can become excessively dry.
90% of us suffer with dry brittle or frizzy hair because our hair is deficient of (moisture) WATER!
I've heard Moroccan Oil is really good - good for taming frizz too, and smells really good :)
Use mustard oil and make sure you change your shampoo every season-using the same shampoo for too long damages your hair
I suggest the Loreal Elvive Heat Protect range, it leaves no residue on the hair and leaves the hair shiny and manageable. Use both the conditioner and shampoo and you'd be good to go =)
Like others stated, for dry hair try use oil whether it's mustard, olive or almond oil. =)
