a guy mate who you known forever gets pissed when you talk to another guy on a mate level. Ask him why your pissed "i have my reasons"? what to do?

   its normal for a guy to get jealous. however the fact you say hes been a mate for ages. and the fact hes getting jealous shows that he doesnt take you JUST for mate, he clearly has more feelings for you and therefore doesnt wanna lose you to anyone. i can almost guarantee he likes you more than a mate and hence why all this jealousy. it shows he cares so take it as a good thing. but unless its a serious relationship, he hasnt got the right to keep you distant from meeting other guys.

    I think he likes you too or maybe he cares about you a lot and doesn't want you to get hurt because he knows that guy is bad news :S Ask him straight what his "reasons" are, if he still refuses to tell you then tell him, he's your friend just like the other guy, he has no right to tell you who you should and shouldn't talk to.

    I agree with the others, he probably sees you more than just a mate, which is quite normal especially if you've known him for ages. He wouldn't get so angry with you talking to another guy if he didn't have a feelings for you. You should try and find out what these "reasons" are. In the meanwhile you shouldn't stop talking to other guys because of him, since he has no right to stop you doing so
