Why would a guy want to have close friendships with the friends of the girl he hate?

   Hello there Narner,
   Im not too sure about the Psychological term for befriending to freinds of the person you hate/dislike, i wouldnt be able to name a category either, im sorry to be of no help but as zain has said its normal for someone to do the opposite of what 'david' is doing, what he is doing is odd and maybe an act to seek attention from said female? Who knows, we can only guess so much, but maybe if you just sat down with this person and talked everything would come to light.

   i have no idea if there is a psychological term for this but you're right, it is probably best to stay away form all her close friends as that would be the normal thing to do but clearly this guy david does not seem to be a normal being...
