Good afternoon
First of all if you think you are hungry and you just ate, give it a few minutes. Let your food digest. Wait at least 20 minutes after a meal or snack before considering anything else.
1) In the meantime, drink something. Sometimes our bodies misinterpret thirst signals for hunger. Fill up on fluids. This may instantly solve the problem.
2) If it is bedtime, go to sleep. Fatigue can also be misconstrued as hunger by the body.
3) Give your taste buds the unexpected. When your body says it is hungry, and you know you are full, eat something spicy. This will change the message to your brain and limit the need for sweets. Spicy foods also increase metabolism slightly, which is always a good thing.
4) Do some exercise. Take your mind off of the hunger. This will also release endorphins which signal the body to be content. It can mimic eating.
5) Chew some gum or low calorie candies. This will keep the mouth busy.
6) Drink some coffee, tea or other no calorie caffeinated beverage. This takes the edge off, and signals your taste buds it is time to stop eating.
7) Get out from in front of the television. This is where most of us overeat.
8) Get active. The more active you are, the less time you have to eat.
I hope this helps eena have a lovely day
It's better to have more meals per day- but in small portions rather than having 2 or 3 huge meals. It's easier for your body to burn calories when you intake in small amounts
thanx for the advice drphil
I can just about eat 3
and you talk about eating 6
try eating in smaller portions this would be healthy
Don't fill yourself up with 6 huge meals a day, have a big breakfast and a big dinner for sure, but in the day time have a balanced snackage and and a light lunch, but it's quite good to eat and if you walk alot aswell your burning the weight too. i know how ya feel i was at that stage but then at the end you gotta control it before you want to gain weight!!!
Hope i helped!
I agree with "Nerd". Having smaller portions in every meal several times a day would be better than really big portions at certain times i guess. Everyones Metabolism (speed at which your food is broken down) is different so it differs which timetable would suit you best. To answer your question though, keep yourself busy so you dont have to find something to do (eat). we've all been there and done that and to be honest being bored isnt fun :/ Find something that keeps your hands and mind busy so you dont have to walk over to the fridge often. Try sports, arts and crafts ... list goes on... hope this helps :)
Keep yourself busy. The more you think about food, the hungrier you'll get
selotaping your lips.
stop eating
you have to be strongminded and have the willpower to control your eating
I think go for DrPhill's advice. As for my personal opinion, simply start fasting where you only eat in the morning and evening - that will get your body trained not to eat in between. =)
lock the food cupboard
bite your fingers ;)
try to keep away from food and give your self targets and treats for example you have move in on to 3 meals a day you get a small choc bicuit
Eating is not bad thing however you should consume your energy properly, joing gym and play some sports.
am the same so...
well instaed of having meals like 6 times atleast have like 4 snack after like every 3-4 hours and then have 2 meals one in the evening and one at midnight..
