I see parents dressing up little kids in very expensive outfits (like dkny dresses) all the time. I think it's ridiculous, because the kid grows up thinking they're better than everyone else and end up wasting loads of money on designer outfits when they could spend it on something more useful.
Do you think it's ok for parents to do that?

Report abuseif they have the money why not
No it's stupid because the child's head just gets bigger and they think they are above the others. They also become very materialistic and start to place more important on THINGS rather than education or other people.
I think it's stupid for parents to do that. Most parents buy designer clothes for children because it doesn't cost a lot e.g. a pair of designer jeans for a 2 year old might cost around £40 which is not THAT much on a bigger scale. But what parents don't realise is that as the child gets older, those designer jeans would obviously cost a lot more e.g. a pair of designer jeans might cost £40 for a 2 year old but those exact same jeans would cost £300 for an 18 year old. Parents like that don't think in the long run, which I think is just plain stupid.
I think it's ok every now and then but not all the time
I think once you get into the habit of designer clothes, it's difficult to go back to normal clothing. Parents like that usually start off by buying their kids one or two designer outfits and just get into the habit after that
they obv have the money thats why their spending it on designer clothes for their children , in my opinion is stupid but each to their own i guess
i agree with Wasssel if you have the money would you not? i would
