Tags: Why can you watch non- blu-ray discs on a blu-ray player but you cannot watch blu-ray discs on a normal DVD player
Report abuseIt's probably because the blu-ray discs are probably too complicated for normal DVD players.
It's a bit like how you can't watch HD channels on a normal sky box but you can watch normal channels on a HD sky box.
Hope that makes sense!
Hello again there Purple Psycho,
Simply put Blu-Ray Discs are designed and created to give such high quality viewing as well as carry much more memory than a normal Cd.
Normal Players are not compatible and will not 'understand' the disc and all its high tech high definition hoohas.
But a Blu-ray Player is designed to be able to understand the downgraded normal CD as well as a Blu-ray CD.
Also an opinon of mine, i think it is a marketing strategy from companies whereby poeopl with normal players cannot view such media and will HAVE to buy a player in order to use a Blu-ray disc.
Pretty sly right?
Thats electronic companies for you.
Anyways i hope i have helped and be sure to keep yabbing. =)
its becasue the player is too old for the Disc so it doesnt work.
Not purely sure but non-blu ray should work on a blu-ray player but however blu-ray should not work in a normal DVD player.
huh im confused
It's the same question with why can you play PSone games on a PS2 and not play PS2 games on a PSone.
