Is there a way of turning off the sound when you take a picture on a Blackberry Bold?

   Search for an application called BerryAnnoying. It silences (almost completely) the camera app.

   So wonderful to see you back here yabbing away!
   Onto your question, i beleive RIM(Research in motion) has not allowed that to be possible, i remember reading somewhere that it was due to people secretly taking pictures in places that are prohibited but im not too sure, either way there is no way of silencing it unless you try Mya's method which seems like a good solution.

   The settings themselves don't let you turn the sound off but as others have said, there are some apps that will let you :)
